When you say the "back of the Occoquan" do you mean the river portion before the dam by the water plant? Or in the reservoir by Sandy Run/Fountainhead Parks?

After the fish have spawned and the young snakehead hatch the parents will guard the fry. If you see this happening I have been told that if you throw a fly into the middle of the fry the parents will attack the fly.
