{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} ATTENTION FYCC VOLUNTEERS!

For some reason, emails to volunteers from the address "familyyouthcastingcall@gmail.com" have not been getting to everyone. So, I'll post the information here.

For all volunteers:

Please bring a smile, some sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.  For your generous donation of time, we will provide you screen printed t-shirt that you should wear during the event so that the volunteers are easy to locate. This event is rain or shine, so dress appropriately and bring and extra layer and/or a rain jacket if needed. We will also provide beverages, breakfast, and lunch.  If you would like to bring your favorite nippers, forceps, pliers or any other handy fishing tools to share, please do so.  If you need additional snacks, please bring them along.

For Friday volunteers (3rd):

The Friday event will serve local DC and Maryland school children that will arrive by bus. As a result, there should be plenty of parking in the lower lot at Fletcher's. All Friday volunteers can head right down into the Fletcher's Boat House parking lot.  Please arrive by 7:45am on Friday. Canal Road is one way inbound at this time, so you will have to come south on Canal Road, pull into the long exit ramp for Fletchers and back down the ramp. Click here http://www.nationalcastingcall.com/location for maps and driving directions. The event officially ends at 3pm, but the kids leave in a staggered fashion so I will be releasing volunteers in a staggered fashion. You are more than welcome to come early if you want.Once you park, go to the registration table where you can pick up your shirt and name badge.  Grab some breakfast and be ready to help out. The first bus of school kids arrives at 9:00am and we will have a short volunteer meeting at 8:15am.

For Saturday volunteers (4th):

Please arrive by 9am. This year is shaping up to be a big event and we are expecting a large turnout. As a result, the lower lot parking spaces will be needed for those attending the event with their kids.   The construction equipment is gone from the upper lot and we want all volunteers to park in the grass up top. Come down the driveway and immediately turn left and head for the rear of that big white house. We are going to need to maximize our parking on site, so pay attention to any parking instructions from other volunteers wearing orange vests. Just tell them you are a volunteer. Carpooling and bike riding to Flecher's is encouraged

Once on site, go to the registration table where you can pick up your shirt and name badge. Once signed in, we will have you move your car to a designated parking spot, if you didn't manage to find the grass parking up above the canal. Then grab some breakfast and be ready to volunteer! We will have a short meeting around 9:30am to brief everyone before we open the even at 10:00am. We will be done by 4pm at the latest.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.  I can be reached via email (brad@gentnergroup.com) before the event and by cell phone (301.537.1577) day of the event.  I will be wandering around with a two way radio day of, so if you need me and see someone with a radio, they can find me.

Again, all the event sponsors, partners, and I want to thank everyone for volunteering for either or both days.  Your help is essential to make this action packed event a success!

Thanks again for stepping up to the plate.
