{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Save the Boundary Waters Event in DC - Monday, Oct 23rd

Hey folks, very slightly off-fishing, but interesting and free event to pass on:

I have a couple friends that are working with the nonprofit called Save the Boundary Waters on advocacy around protecting that wilderness area ,and they asked that I let you all know about this event:

-Monday, October 23rd, 6-8pm, at the Ansel Adams Gallery at the Wilderness Society, 1615 M Street NW #2, Washington, DC

-Canoe guides Amy and Dave Freeman have been leaders in the movement to protect the Boundary Waters. In 2014, you may have seen them around town at the end of their 101 Day canoe trip from the BWCA to DC. In 2015-16, the couple spent a year canoeing, dog-sledding, camping, and living in the Boundary Waters, and chronicled it in a book called "A Year in the Wilderness: Bearing Witness in the Boundary Waters" . They'll be on hand to discuss the book and their experience.
