I went back down to Louisiana for a few days of fishing again. A few days of tough conditions, but still managed to get on some great fish. I had one day of insane Jack action where they were just running through the flats at about 20 MPH just crashing bait on the surface. There were some incredible eats on the fly too.
-- Unfortunately, I did mess up on what would've been my best fish on the trip and ever on the fly. We were running and gunning into a pile of birds and fish, and I jumped up, tossed my fly, and hooked into what we're estimating was a 50+ lb jack. Of course, I got sloppy in my rush to get to the bow for the cast, and was stepped on my line which ripped the fly out of its mouth 70 feet into its run. Oh well, always how it works, isn't it?
