I used to use one for tenkara. In short, I think they provide little to no advantage, and perhaps some disadvantages. Waste of money, IMO.

Furled leaders have been know to absorb water and hold water in them, therefore when you cast droplets of water spray off you leader, I've heard that the droplets scare off trout etc. I've used them in the best but learned not to love them, they provide convenience sure but you can always build your own leaders with just the same amount of convenience.
