Good morning. I'm heading up to Pine Groove Furnace State Park (about a 1/2 hr drive North of Thurmont) this weekend for a Father's Day camping trip. 5 fathers and 7 sons (wish me luck). Some of us are more "qualified" flyer fisherman than others, and most of the kids (ages 5-11) will spin fish. Was hoping for some insight on best places to fish (hoping to put my 5 year old on his first trout), suggested rod/weight, any good local fly shops etc. I was planning on bringing my 4 weight and 7 weight, as we're considering taking the kids on a casual canoe fishing trip and thought a sinking tip would help. Any insight on flies would be appreciated, too. Both on the surface and below.
