My best guess is that you'll get some sunfish to take below the surface and have a pleasant time out there...but water temps probably aren't quite high enough to really get a lot of them biting like you'll get in another month or so. I've caught a few crappie in there, so if you can find them they should be biting better than most anything else. I've caught some large crappie this time of year off the Potomac when nothing else was biting (over a period of 3 days), so that was my conclusion anyway.

I've been wanting to get back down there, and i thought i might after work today but wasn't sure if it would fish well this time of year.On Tue, Mar 22, 2016 at 9:21 AM, TurbineBlade <doubl...@gmail.com> wrote:--I live pretty close to it now, but haven't been out there yet. I may buy a pass to the gate at Bull run marina this year to access it a little further down with the canoe. Beth and I need to keep things closer to home this season.During the fall it's full of gizzard shad, but I don't know about early spring. Fun place for sunfish on a nice day though. It's also about as ideal as you can get for a teeny BS-100 or T-130.Gene
