{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Shad: Are we there yet?

Forrest,

I prefer clousers and bucktails to the conehead darts. I generally fish a bright clouser on point and a Mickey Finn or something similar off a blood-knot dropper.

My shad box always includes chartreuse, orange, purple and pink clousers in descending order of my favorites. I generally fish size 6s for shad.

But I fish 7- and 8- weights.
