Re: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Bamboo get together

Sorry you can't make it.
Wayne has nice stuff and the Douglas rods are very impressive.

Art,

Thanks so much for posting.  These types of gatherings can be a lot of fun and give you a chance to see rods and reels you normally wouldn't.

I give too much of my money to Wayne Grauer and I don't even collect bamboo.  He usually has some nice vintage graphite or glass rods too.
I can't make it, but would definitely try if I was in town.

Thought I'd pass this on to the group for anyone who might be interested in bamboo and other rods.  This is an event sponsored by Potomac Patuxent TU but others are welcome.  If interested please email Jed Feffer or myself.

This is a reminder to anyone interested in the Bamboo or other Equipment Gathering at the York access to the Gunpowder on Saturday, March 26th from 9-1.  The forecast is for sunny skies and a high of 58 degrees.  I will be getting there by 8:30 to start setting up.  I am hoping to bring two fold out tables and some folding chairs.  If those people that are planning to attend could e-mail me or the list serve I would appreciate it.  I am planning on bringing some chili, paper plates, plastic spoons, and napkins, and getting a head count would help me calculate how much chili to make.
Wayne Grauer, a vintage rod and reel dealer from Baltimore, is planning to be there, and Jerry Kustich who is a rod maker from Sweetgrass Rods, and currently living in Maryland may be there.  Wayne is planning on bringing some bamboo rods he has for sale, as well as some new Douglas Brand graphite rods.    We will be meeting on the downstream side of the York Road Bridge.   Some folks may decide to fish after the gathering.  If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me. Thanks, Jed Feffer   jedtfeffer@aol.com
