{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Fishing Near Lexington, KY

Dan, I was born and raised in Louisville, KY and just recently moved to DC this past year. If you make your way towards Louisville, try out otter creek (just keep an eye on TU and KY fish and wildlife postings regarding stockings) I always enjoyed fishing Taylorsville Lake and the tailwater of it. A great place to start checking places to fish trout will be ky fish and wildlife website to see where they stock and when. If you're a bass guy, you're in luck! Many more opportunities to fish bass! You can meet up with Derby City Fly Fishing and they can also tell you some other great spots as well. Keep in mind that KY has the most running water of any state, except Alaska! There are great fishing opportunities and i know youll be happy with it! Feel free to ask me anything about KY fishing

I am sad to announce that I am moving from the great state of VA to Kentucky.  With a house and job already figured out.  Next on the list is fishing.  Does anyone have any experience with the eastern half of the state.  I will be living near Lexington, but not afraid to make a couple hour drive.  Even if it means into a neighboring state.  Looking for streams that hold native browns primarily but have nothing against chasing bass, brookies, or delayed harvest fish.

Thanks in advance,
