{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} February 8 Beer Tie to host Friends of Fletcher's Cove

We've posted about this group and issue a few times since November 2014 when NPS condemned the dock at Fletcher's Cove. Friends of Fletcher's Cove (FFC) got its start after this closure by circulating a petition to anyone with in interest in the Cove to reopen the dock and work on a long term solution to the issue of sedimentation. As you all know, this paid off and NPS worked diligently on a short term solution to repair and reopen the dock before shad season, but this work didn't end here and FFC is beginning phase one of the long term solution. See Mike Bailey's most recent post here.

We are pleased to announce that Mike Bailey and others from FFC will be joining us at the next Beer Tie in a little over a week and a half to give an update on the project and host a Q&A. They will also be offering Alex Binsted fly kits for donors, a must have for shad season. We hope to see everyone out Monday, February 8 at Whitlows on Wilson from 7-9PM.

Check out FFC's website and consider donating now: www.friendsoffletcherscove.org/

Stay posted here for more reminders and updates to the February Beer Tie!
