Well, Dry River wasn't too much fun. Despite the recent rain, water levels were still pretty low, although the water was plenty cold. I pulled around 6-8 brookies and missed about as many. I headed over to the lower public section of Mossy Creek, which had decent but not great flows.

I fished both rivers about 3 weeks ago. The Pocosin was very productive but many of the trout were so small that I had a hard time hooking up with a #16 Mr. Rapidan. I hit the Rapidan River later in the afternoon. The fishing was slower and there were a lot of people there. If you're thinking of trying the latter, I'd suggest fishing either the middle third or the upper third of the river. The water down in the Graves Mill/Staunton River area was too warm the last time I was there.
