--Spent last week at Naknek River Camp on the upper Naknek River in the Bristol Bay region of Alaska. It was a trip hosted by Steelhead Alley Outfitters out of Ohio. The fishing is so good in the area that this was my third trip to the same place. Spent the entire week swinging streamers for big rainbows and silvers except for half a day fishing for char using an indicator. Took many mid 20's rainbows to get to the 30 inch rainbow that I dreamed about on the last day. The swinging was slow for the first half of the week due to rain and changing weather conditions but it picked up later in the week when the weather stabilized a bit. Even though it's not my game, at least half of the group had multiple 50+ fish days using beads.<Rainbow.jpg>30" rainbow on the Naknek that took a white sculpin on the swing. This was my goal for the week. I put in my time and earned it.
