Thinking about taking a long weekend here before the end of the month to fish in sw va for early season trout. Does anyone have any familiarity with fishing the Smith River around Martinsville/Collinsville, VA. I've read a lot of reports but would love some first hand knowledge if anyone's got some.
-- Was also planning to spend an afternoon fishing the Dan River. I know they had the big spill there last year. I've seen press releases from Duke Energy saying that it looks to be in decent shape but would also love some perspective on this too. Thanks.
