I went to Phoenix a few years back and spent the day with the fishing manager of the Orvis store, Cinda Howard. She and i went out to some retention ponds and caught carp and koi, and it was a good time. I still have her mobile if you want to give her a call; I didn't see her on the Orvis web site, but you could call the store. They also have some other information on fishing the area.
