Outer Banks Fly Fishing – from the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center

Brain Horsey or Sarah Gardner – both are excellent

Subject: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Fly Fishing the Outer Banks (Hatteras Island)

Hey all - glad to finally contribute. Been lurking around the forum for a while.

Brother's bachelor party is down on the Outer Banks in March.

We've booked the requisite day of offshore beer fishing (his choice, he's not a fisherman - fly or otherwise), but I'm looking to do some inshore/near shore fly fishing while I'm down there.

Anyone have opinion on fly guides down there?

What about shops?

Growing up we used Frisco Rod and Gun for surf fishing needs, can't remember the guides we used for inshore finishing.

We're staying at the south end of Hatteras, but for a great guide I'd happy drive the hour back to Oregon Inlet. Thoughts anyone?
