REI is great, in this case I was speaking specifically of hunting and fishing equipment.

I drove by the Gander Mountain that is under construction by Potomac Mills in Woodbridge yesterday. Looks like they're making good progress and I assume will be opening in the next month or two. I know they don't have the inventory of Cabelas or Bass Pro, but at least we will have someplace local to get decent outdoor equipment and clothing. Dick's hunting and fishing departments are pathetic in my opinion. Ganders fly fishing selection in poor, but I'm okay with that as I prefer the local fly shops.
