{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Trout

Senor,  the learning curve can be a challenge, but looks like you did it.  Nice fish on well tied flies.  good job.  My 21 yr.old son is going through the same fly fishing growing pains.  We were out over the weekend and he spent much of his time getting untangled.  Can be frustrating some times, but well worth it once you get the hang of it.

Anyway, last month I returned to Brewster on one of those hot days and fished with confidence.  I nymphed some fast water, made the necessary mends, and was able to finally land my first trout, a Rainbow.

That also sparked an interest in tying trout flies.  

Since that magical experience I've been going on trips for trout.  I landed my first Brown in Beaver Creek not long ago after spending alot of time picking through 2 rats nests and had a great day on the Gunpowder River last Saturday.  I got into 5 beautiful browns, one who took a leap out from some boulders.

All the frustrations that may have come along while fishing for trout were and are all worth it.
