{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Beaver Creek

Bryan,

I've been out there once a week for the past month or so. It's a great stream with some pretty wild browns and some bows. Most fish are anywhere from 6-15" with a few giants lurking around. A 4 or 5 weight will do you well unless you want to huck streamers for bigger fish (use a 6wt). As for flies, I'm a big fan of a hopper dropper set up this time of year with a floating beetle followed by a size 20-22 zebra midge. You can check out their site or give the fly shop a call. Nice guys up there.

A buddy and I are going to spend Saturday, the 20th fishing Beaver Creek in Maryland. Any thoughts on the stream, equipment and flies are appreciated.

Thanks

Bryan
