{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Dogue Creek

I launched my kayak in to Dogue Creek just below the bridge this past Saturday AM. Upstream of the bridge the water was nasty, oily surface. threw a few flies with no success. I then paddled down below the bridge towards the marina. The water was very brown at the bridge but got a little clearer the closer I got to the marina. Threw some hoppers and cone headed woolly buggers. Caught two decent sized cat fish so it wasn't a total loss.

There was a guy in a jon boat trolling up and down the creek searching for snakehead. He had an elaborate crossbow arrangement. Sort of reminded me on a gunners turret from a B19. Pretty cool.
