Need to head downstream a bit. I've seen some small carp in the skinny water near the lock. Most I've seen have been more down water towards Little Falls.

Went to Lock 7 this am looking for carp.  Fished at the end of the lock closest to the house and did not really see any carp.  Was I fishing the right spot?

Did land a nice crappie so all was not lost.

I tried a couple different flies and methods and couldn't interest any of them.  First tried a very small red crayfish pattern. Moved on to a San Juan worm. When that failed I tried an indicator with an Eggy Juan Kenobi with some weight.  Nothing was interested other than tiny sunfish.

I saw lots of them feeding on top. I could see their lips as they rose on what looked like some green tree pollen that was littering the surface.

Any ideas for what they were feeding on or what I could of done differently?
