Re: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Shad Leaders

I typically use 8lb mono as my leader. Never know what's lurking in that water. If snakeheads are around ill bump up to 12lb-14lb. Shad aren't leader shy. Most of them have never seen fishing line or people. They are not educated like a spring creek trout.

Dan posted earlier that you don't need more than 2-3' of leader for a sinking line.  But are we talking 0X-3X Flouro?  Or do we need to go down to finer trout tippets for Shad?
