{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: New structure for fishing in C&O Canal

The NPS often dewaters it this time of year for lock maintenance. It is always a concern for the Family and Youth Casting Call and last year they filled it for the event and drained it again the week after.

Why is the canal dry?  I tried to get some casting in over the weekend by fletchers, and there was no water (seems to still be no water by that picture).
