I am big fan of panfish or bluegill and I use mini popper all time. The cost of popper body is expensive and we have to take time to tie, glue and paint it. Most stores sell completed mini popper about 3 to 5 dollars each!

 

After I tied few cricket patterns, I then got an idea and use these cricket form materials and apply to mini popper. See picture - I think it should be worked! I am going to tie few more and test them in spring or summer.
