I just saw this. For future reference: the obvious picks are the Rapidan and Rose and Whiteoak close to town. If he's going all the damn way down to the North River (the GWNF one I assume) I would check out the Moormans and Tye near Charlottesville and Lovingston. Jeremy's Run is also a good stream supposedly although I have never fished it
