About  5-6 years ago, there were several actual parking spots off route 340 as it crossed the Potomac from Maryland from in to West Virginia. Things could have changed since then. So so those parking areas may no longer exist

I also wanted to fish from that rock shelf you can see from google earth on the VA side where the Shenandoah empties into the Potomac, but I saw that there are no parking signs all over 340. Any suggestions?
