I carry pliers, "boga grips", and several trash bags. A net helps.

You can hit them ten times with an aluminum bat to the skull and it won't kill them. You can smash their heads with rocks and then stab their skull several times and it won't kill them.

Suffocating them in a bag works. Several trash bags will keep the slime contained and prevent their teeth from puncturing a single bag and getting out.
