I'd suggest buying your tying supplies as you learn patterns. Buy a high quality vise and tools individually. I suspect I have materials from a 'starter kit' that I have never used. The beer tie is a great way to learn tying. District Angler teaches group lessons and on Saturday mornings invites customers to attend group fly tying lessons. Good luck in your your interest, Dan
