Re: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: How's the water at Fletchers?

Finished with six total, still pretty slow. Chartreuse was the ticket in the murky water. Lost one big hickory. For some reason every fish I got to hand was exactly 15.5". Four of my fish came after 4 pm, and I got off the water at 5. My last one bit on the swing, then gave me two great leaps, one while it was fifty feet away and with the fly line trailing in the water behind it like a tarpon. The second time it launched itself three full feet out of the water! My first fish (pictured) I got on the very first cast lol. I tend to think that's bad luck. Thankfully it was not the last fish. Also had about four our five other solid bites, one that felt big and came from a traditional American spot.

Also got to try my new casting bar on my fold cat! ... It was more a hindrance than a help though. Plus I had new oar locks that sea eagle forgot to send with the locks that go on the mount. So I had to paddle the ready around like a paddle board lol. Worked out fine.
