I recommend checking out Clam Pass, there are big snook on the beach there certain times of year and some nice backcountry to fish. On the Fort Lauderdale side, holiday park is a great place for bass, you can rent a boat or there are lots of guides that work out fo there. Once you are over on the east coast, you can catch peacocks in any neighborhood canals or lakes you find driving around.
