I might be further persuaded if Gene and Beth were standing by, for however long I owned this canioe, to ferry it to ANY destination provide shuttle service on demand. 
I can only add that if the Boy Scouts of America can use and abuse aluminum canoes with abandon all over America the rest of us can be assured it's a very fine and durable product.
