{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Fly Fishing Boston

The employees at the Orvis Outlet at the Assembly Row Shopping Center in Somerville, MA said they catch stripers and sometime bluefish in the Mystic River right at the shopping center.  There is a public park along the river bank and plenty of parking.

Many of the islands in Boston Harbor are NPS.  If you have a friend with a boat it looks like there are any number of fishing spots.  Since they improved the city's sewage system the water quality and fishing have improved significantly.

Hi Guys,

Its been a while since I've been on here but I thought I could use your help!  I recently moved up to Boston and have been doing great on trout, but I have yet to get a trier on fly. The reports note fish are in the area from north to south, but I am restricted to shore fishing with my 8-wt - but I do have floating, intermediate, and full sink lines.

Does anyone have any recommendations for schoolies or other spots to cast a fly in the general boston, boston harbor area?  This would be greatly appreciated and I'll be sure to share any photos should I be successful!

Thanks again
