High on the Himalayas

Birding in Himachal

The whole country is experiencing peak summer, praying for rains to provide some respite. For the birder though, the heat or the rain would offer no respite from the "off-season" in birding unless they follow the birds to their birding quarters. This is what we would do as we embark towards the higher altitudes looking out for the breeders and high altitude specialties.
We drive from Chandigarh, passing thru Chail, Sarahan thru the breathtaking gorges of the greater Himalayas in the sangla valley. We shall bird at Chitkul and forge further to Nako and Tabo leaving the green cultivated fields for the barren high altitude crags. We explore Mud, Kaza, Kibber, Dhankar, Langza before arriving at the serene Chandratal before ending the tour at Manali.
We would see birds from various altitudes and enjoy breath taking landscapes.
Come and join us in this summer adventure.
