Hey everyone-
-- I just got my hands on a new kayak (yay Father's Day!) and I was thinking of taking it out for a spin this weekend out of Fletcher's Landing. Forecast says rain Saturday morning, so I'm thinking maybe Sunday morning before it gets too warm and throw some poppers and other top water. Last time I crossed the river (Monday) it still looked pretty cloudy, and now we have more rain on the way tomorrow.
So should I leave the rod at home and just go for a paddle, or do I have a shot at catching anything? And if you think it's worth the effort, any pointers on what to throw would be most welcome.
And if you're out between the chain bridge and fletcher's this Sunday morning, keep an eye out for me. I'll be the one floating downstream holding on to the side of an upside down kayak.
