For those interested is statistics I've compiled a few bits of historical data for review. The content on this public and google docked spreadsheet is a collection of archived dates of 5 species of fish and the reported dates of the first caught. The geographic area of record is from Blue Plains up to Great Falls and dates back to 1975. Keep in mind that the catch info is provisional and input is welcomed. Access was more of an issue (high water) in some years. Thanks to Gordon Leisch, Joe Fletcher, Mike Alper, Mark Binsted, Alex Binsted for the data.
-- The second section column is the average monthly mean water temp for January through May going back to 1988 (when they installed temp sensor) as archived by USGS
The third section is average monthly mean flow in CFS over Little Falls back to 1975 as archived by USGS. That data goes back to the 1930's.
Obviously the run this year is being suppressed more so by water temperature as we are in the nexus of the photo period. Shad and stripers have been reported by recreational as well as commercial fisherman in the mouths of most rivers that drain into the bay.

(yes I'm very bored)
