Those are excellent suggestions. The streams at the southern end of park are an easy drive as well, there is Mossy, too, but depending on the weather and your 'druthers you might do well just staying around town and fishing the South river. Besides the stocked and holdover trout (which I've heard good things about but never admittedly caught on my one S. River outing just downstream from the festival), I know it holds some big smallmouth too. I remember looking down from the bridge over near the YMCA and seeing very large smallies hanging around the bank boulders and abutments. Sadly I did not have time to go after them, but made a mental note of it. The guys at South River fly shop in town can probably give you very good and timely advice.
