{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Traveling to Wilkes-Barre PA

i'd skip over most of the stuff on the way that's a day trip and explore the area up around wilkes-barre/poconos. great fishing for bass and trout up there and different from what you'd find anywhere in VA/MD/DC/CPA... perfect time of year to pull hungry 4-5lb+ smallmouth out of the lakes and all kinds of trout fishing, with class A waters still fishing decent and pressure has let up on some of the stocked streams that hold 20"+ fish.  the pfbc maps are very useful, tho do research on access pts. and always have alternatives ready b/c the public/private land boundaries up there are a confusing mess.

Trip to PA June 5.

Any advice on locations for stopping along the way?  Prefer trout but bass ok too.

Time not an issue so I can divert a little as required.

Thanks.
