{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: New member

Well the shad run goes end of march through april, if you are here for that.  Focus on the river from Fletchers up to Chain Bridge. When you get up here, give a shout out.  I'm sure someone will be on the river that day and welcome some company.

I don't live in the area, but I travel to the DC area at least twice a year, if not more, for work and usually have a day or three to do some fishing. For the most part, I spend most of my time around Savage Mill but have been looking to expand on that. 

I run a blog called BrookFieldAngler.com and there are a few stories, pics, etc...of past DC trips on there. I have been really hoping to go after some bigger game out there but I am always wading and the Potomac seems quite intimidating to a guy without a ton of time to do a bunch of exploring/legwork. 

I'll actually be down there in Mid-march and was wondering what would be in the River around that time. 

Any tips, areas, etc...would definitely be appreciated!
