I went to one of these last summer and Carl and John helped me a LOT, gave me ideas about how to practice alone, etc.

Is there a "Newbie" station for a complete newbie like me? I was hoping to start here so I don't develop any bad habits. Maybe Andy's roll casting clinic?Thanks.Leon.
P.S. I promise to clip the hook off my wooly bugger so I don't snag anyone.

John Bilotta/Mia Sheppard will be working with two-handed rods, Andy Manley will be working on roll casting, Lang White will handle distance casting and I will work with you on short/accuracy casts. Find us and work through the rotation or whatever you feel you need the most work on. Bring a rod and floating line if you have one but I will have a few extra Orvis rods (thanks Dan) if you or your companion don't.As mentioned here, and another thread, Mia Sheppard, famed spey caster and steelhead guide will be in attendance. Thanks,

We will help out with both single-hand and two-handed casting (John will probably have some spare spey rods if you want to give this a go). If there is anything you want to work on or just want to tune up your general skills, we will help out.Additionally, we have added a few additional events to our webpage here: http://www.tpfr.org/events.htm On the following Sunday, March 10, we will have a table at the NCC-TU Angling Show at Georgetown Prep in North Bethesda. Lefty Kreh will be there doing a casting demonstration, there will be lots of guides, local vendors and other local fishing non-profits. For more details, go here. Also, as Dan has sent out recently we have several more Beer Tie's and our four year anniversary party scheduled at Whitlow's.Dalton
