Re: {Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Winter on the Gunpowder

The line I've been using for a long time has a 30' 200 gr. Sink tip on it with intermediate running line.  Scientific Angler ( District Anglers ) and Orvis sell them.   It would work fine on. 5 or 6 wt.   I keep my leader about 4 ' of  8 lb. Mono.    This has proven very successful over at Fletchers.   If you have a 7 wt. rod. Go up to a 250 or 300 gr. Line.

Full sinking line for sure.  At times you can catch some hickories on a sink tip, but you are handicapping yourself going that route, especially if you hope to catch americans.

Maybe it was a reference to A Whiter Shade of Pale? (Gary Brooker, RIP)  ;-)

I dont know why autocorrect turned "shorter leader" into "whiter leader" but I meant shorter./CAGS0aGzkHtLMmYSdUa7v0e7hLBQCXikdxyyAirf4jokyPAbZkg%40mail.gmail.com.
