{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Carp in the Canal

Got out for a short trip last night to chase some carp in the canal. I had a few follows but wasn't having any luck connecting using nymphs or hybrid flies. As I was heading to another spot I stopped to chat with another fisherman and across the canal was a school of carp feeding on the surface. A tree was dropping some sort of berry, fairly small and white (I think). The carp were having a field day. I tried a large white dry fly I randomly had in the box but no luck. I checked my box again and turns out I had two mulberry flies! I finally got the cast just right, and ended up with a nice carp to show for it. After catching this one, I quickly lost both of my mulberry flies and called it day.
