{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Project Healing Water Fly Tie-A-Thon at Next Beer Tie, Monday, April 10

Hi Greg,

PHW typically takes the veterans fishing on private trout streams, but they also occasionally fish for bass and on public water as well. With these private streams, the fish probably aren't too picky and will eat your basic, larger attractor patterns, including dries like Adams, Stimulators, Royal Wulffs, Patriots, etc. and nymphs like Princes, Hares Ears, Green Weenies, Copper Johns, etc. They might also occasionally fish small streamers like Wooly Buggers, Black Nosed Dace, or others. The key is flies that are easy to see, tie on, and cast, as the participants may not have the greatest dexterity with their injuries but fly fishing is helping them with this. Easy to tie patterns would also be great, so we can provide them with more flies

We may have a few materials to bring, but generally you should bring your own materials and equipment.
