{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} I'd like to meet up with others to do some bank fly fishing for shad tomorrow if anyone would like to team up. I've not done this type of fishing before. Looking forward to it. Mike V

My dad and I tried yesterday afternoon, we must have fished every seam from Chain Bridge to the big sandy areas upriver from Fletchers.  Two foul-hooked gizzard shad to show for it.  Near the end of the day, I was retrieving an orange shad dart near a rock ledge in a slow eddy, about to pick up to cast again. Got snagged maybe 15 feet out...then the snag started swimming downstream.  WTF.  Had this fish on for about 30 seconds, it just made this slow, lazy run downstream and then the hook pulled out. I never saw it...guessing it was a catfish??
