{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Dolly Sods?

I was up there in August. Beautiful place to hike. The fishing was not so hot when I was out there. The most promising area I read about was the Blackwater River near Blackwater Falls. It requires a fierce hike down a canyon that could be dangerous. I attempted it with my girlfriend before calling the voyage off early. I didn't want to ruin a good trip with a mishap requiring a helicopter ride out.

But apparently during the summer months they stock that portion of the river with trout. I tried the river upstream and there wasn't a fish to be seen.

Heading to Dolly Sods with a couple of friends this weekend. Anyone have any knowledge of what the fishing is like there? I have seen conflicting reports elsewhere and the only report here I see is a few years old and not promising. I am OK with just hiking, but if they fishing has gotten better in the past couple of years it would be great to fish a bit.

Thanks,
