This weekend TU had their 5 Rivers College Rally at Graves Mtn Lodge. 200+ college kids from up and down the eastern US came to the valley to try their hand at fly fishing...and drinking. Mostly drinking. But lots of fish were caught and it's cool to see the younger generation giving the sport a go. Sorry for the crowds anyone who may have been out this weekend.
-- There was also a huge apple festival up there too which seemed to garner a decent crowd.

40 years later I remember vividly the agony of hiking up and out of White Oak Canyon during an August backpacking trip.
Gravity: she's a bitch. ;-)

Beth and I are joggers in reasonably good shape and the hike up to Skyline is still strenuous...I don't care who you are. Some are worse than others (e.g., Big Run).
