I fished an East Slope SNP stream (a little north of the Rapidan) this weekend, hiking in off Skyline Drive. I didn't have time to hike too far down, so I was fishing through the tree branches, in the tiny pools created by the gradient at elevation. In the deeper pockets, the fish were readily hitting parachute Mr. Rapidans, size 16. I'm sure a parachute adams or pretty much anything else would work too. Have fun!

Going to check out the Rapidan and Staunton. Any reports from those streams? Is it still nymph season or is it warm enough for them to start rising readily to dries?I'll post a report when I get back. Thanks, all.
