Hey guys,
I know most of you are already aware of the Potomac Snakehead Tournament that’s been talked about here. Both TPFR and Urban Angler are sponsors of the event. We posted about this last year and put together a team of 6 non-motorized anglers. This includes kayak, canoe, SUP, and wading anglers.
Every year, we wind up having a good time spooking snakehead and catching bass all day on topwater. In the past there were some pretty hefty largemouth caught, but the snakehead remains to be an elusive fly rod target.
Team Urban Angler perks:
- All anglers on our team are not subject to the entry fee for the tournament, as we’re sponsors.
- All anglers receive 16lb. leader, and a selection of 7 flies that have worked for snakehead
- Free beer and snakehead at the event
First 6 folks who commit are in. Joel, Hendrick, Charlie, Davis, and Remick – I told you guys last year if you wanted to fish again, you’re grandfathered in.
We will have a pre-tournament meeting sometime this week after work to talk about fishing spots.
