Why were you worried about the police? If it is because of that other thread, I would not let it worry you. People are making an issue over nothing.

That was rather well since only a couple other fish were caught between the rest of the fishermen. That being said, everyone else was using worms which seemed like a bad choice of bait for the circumstances.
