{Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders} Re: Striper Moon by Ken Abrames

Matt,
The swing and drift methods reminds of fishing the Roanoke River for stripers.  If you've not have the chance, make or take it to go to Weldon, NC for the striper run on the Roanoke River, in the spring.  Go after keepr season.  You can also find a lot of fish in the lower Roanoke just up river of the  Albermarle Sound just about year round.  If you go, you'll find you'll use those methods a lot.

Has anyone read Ken Abrame's books Striper Moon, or A Perfect Fish? I'm thinking about picking up Striper Moon. Abrames discusses using traditional swing, and drift methods for Salmon and Trout in tidal currents for Stripers. Sounds like this would fit right into our tidal fishery.
