I have a few days off next week and am looking to do some fishing. I have hit the shad run a few times at Fletchers to great success but was hoping to target some smallies next.
I have my favorite spots for the Summer when the water level is lower. Any suggestions on good wade spots in the region for this time of year (with the water level above ideal wading levels)? I'll probably head to Harpers Ferry and might try the Rappahannock confluence. Will also try targeting the mouths of some streams as they feed into the Potomac.
Note: if you don't want to give away your favorite spot, characterizing the types of locations I should be seeking would be very helpful as well.
Thanks,
Jonathan
